How did you first discover deviantART?

About 4 years ago. I was looking for some brushes and I was amazed by the beautiful galleries in here and I thought "god… I wish I could have the skills"… then 1 year after I become a member of DA

What was it about dA that made you want to stay?

Everything! I love everything on this site. People are amazingly kind and talented, I enjoy the contests around DA, I love to suggest DD's and is the place where I met great friends, so DA is definitely part of my life, that's my main reason to stay

What is the story behind your username?

Well… is not a great story… is just my name yup maybe it sounds rare heheh. My name is Yasna but my friends call me Yasny or Yas  

What do you remember of your childhood in regards to art?

Nothing special. I used to draw when I was a kid but I never was good enough. Photoshop was my biggest discovery hahah but that was only 3 years ago

Was there anything or anyone in particular that prompted your choice of art form?

No I chose to start with manips and fractals inspired by some amazing artists from here) so if someone prompted I think they are

Who or what motivates you to continue creating?

My amazing DA friends, they motivate me and inspire me every day

Of your own work, which has the most meaning to you and why?

Because it was my first work painted with my graphic tablet   I never thought in have one, but one day I received a big package and when I opened the box I fainted in that precise moment hahahaha. The person who gave me this present is an incredible friend and I met him here on DA so for that I'm very grateful, I'm grateful to DA for let me know such a wonderful, kind and disinterested guardian angel

Do you have any personal goals in relation to deviantART?

Yeah! Thanks for ask my goal is search and discover every unknown artist here on DA and suggest their  art as a DD in fact that's what I'm doing, I love to search in every gallery for those hidden treasures and suggest them to the GM's because there's a lot of talented people that needs more attention

Are you working on any projects or wish to promote some projects?

By now I don't have any projects, but I'm sure that Atramina and I will do something cool in the future

Which movies did you enjoy most?

I love all kind of movies except romantic movies (I hate them )
My favourite movies are LOTR trilogy, American history X, The fight club, gladiator, interview with the vampire and many others, you can have an idea of what I like

What type of music do you listen to? (Specific groups/artists?)

My favourite group is Placebo,  I simply love them, but I like many others like Muse, Editors, 80's and 70's music, Immediate Music, Two steps from hell, The killers, etc.

Which books could you just not put down?

Oh god… to many I love to read! In fact I'm a bookworm but my favorite one is "One hundred years of solitude" the story is so captivating that I could read that book forever.

What foods can you just never seem to resist? Drinks?

Food: Japanese food, and my mom's food haha she's a great cook
Drinks: coca cola , is an addiction

What are your pet peeves on dA and in general?

I must to see all the works in my deviations inbox (I can't delete works, even if I don't have time )
-I hate arrogant people and I hate the lies.
-When I see a work "updated" without any edition I deleted instantly because I don't understand why people do that, if you are updating a work must to be for some reason! I don't know… a lil edition or something

Something random about yourself you wish to share?

I'm studying Psychology and I can read your mind so… be careful with your thoughts

What tips can you offer to better oneself in his or her art?

-Search for tutorials and try them adding your own touch, tutorials always are helpful and I learn a lot from them, I'm still learning!
-Always is good ask for constructive critiques, you can ask your parents, your friends and your DA watchers
-Please never give up!!

What does Art mean to you?

A way of express myself, express my feelings and my thoughts. For me art is the voice of the heart, that voice that don't need words .
