How did you first discover deviantART?
I was just searching around on Google for different sorts of art and a
few pieces caught my eye, they were all at this website called
deviantart, so I thought I'd have a look around and signed up.
What was it about dA that made you want to stay?
I liked the social aspect of the site, the fact you could comment and
favourite artists work but also have a platform where you could
socialize and discuss other things, like chat and the forums.
What is the story behind your username?
Urrrggh. Haha it was an ex's surname, I didn't expect to be on the
website nearly 7 years later! Lesson to you all! Think of a good name,
not a spur of the moment one!
What do you remember of your childhood in regards to art?
I was always doodling and writing in my spare time. I was the one that
didn't write anything in lessons but just drew down the margins of
pages.
Was there anything or anyone in particular that

I love, love love love, Rodney Matthews. He is an amazing artist.
Everything inspires me really, from the sublime to the horrendous. If it
stirs up a feeling I want to catch it.
Who or what motivates you to continue creating?
I like to make things for other people so that always keeps me going. I
enjoy making things that other people wouldn't make, like the human
centipede in crochet form. If I see something that interests me I will
try to give it a go.
Of your own work, which has the most meaning to you and why?
It is a toss up between Homer -
who is my lovely man and I was so thrilled to catch him mid-meow or Redemption
which I have always liked.Do you have any personal goals in relation to deviantART?
I think most things I had dreamed about on dA have come true, I got a
few DDS, was given the senior status and I was given a chance to CV over
the Resources Gallery which was amazing and I am now the Artisan Crafts
CV, I have had a lot of opportunities on this website and am massively
thankful for them.
Are you working on any projects or wish to promote some projects?
There are some amazing very focussed craft groups out there - and
#ArtisanCraft does a brilliant job of collecting all the latest news
from dA regarding Artisan Crafts.
Also `kangel is taking commissions, she is probably my favourite artist on dA.
Which movies did you enjoy most?
I must admit to not being a big movie fan. I do, however, adore The
Rocky Horror Picture Show, Hairspray, Little Shop of Horrors and Patch
Adams and of course that classic "The Human Centipede". Where would I be
without that?
What type of music do you listen to? (Specific groups/artists?)
I am in to any music really - as long as it's not screamy/shouty stuff.My
favourite band is Blackmore's Night and many stock photos I take are
inspired by their amazing music. I also love Mamma Monster - Lady Gaga.
Which books could you just not put down?
I read The Passage and found it a real page turner, also When God Was a
Rabbit, it was a beautiful story. I also love Stephen King. I re-read
his books often especially Rose Madder, it is one I re-read at least
once a year.
What foods can you just never seem to resist? Drinks?
Potatoes. I love them. Dauphinoise potatoes. Oh God. Om nom nom. Love
them. Also with garlic, or sauce or anything really.
Apart from new potatoes. I detest them with a passion. I enjoy Pepsi far too much. I am surprised I have any teeth left.
What are your pet peeves on dA and in general?
Just asshattery. I cannot tolerate people going out of their way to be
horrible when they don't need to be. I know I was certainly brought up
better than that.
Something random about yourself you wish to share?
Sometimes I think this reality is just the tortured dreams of a coma patient.What tips can you offer to better oneself in his or her art? Life?
Not many really as my talents are limited! 
Just keep going, do it for yourself and be proud of what you do.What does Art mean to you?
Art is everything! I can't imagine a world without it!Is there anything else you wish to say?
